SECTION-I
1. Chemistry and Spectral Characterization of Simple Natural Origin Molecules Using modern analytical tools (UV, IR, NMR, and Mass).
2. Concept of Stereoisomerism of Natural Products.
3. Introduction, Chemistry, biogenesis and pharmacological activity of medicinally Important Monoterpenes, Sesquiterpenes, Diterpenes, Triterpenoid.
4. Glycosides: Introduction, Chemistry and Biosynthesis of Cardio Active Glycoside (Digitoxin, Digoxin), Sennoside, Diosgenin, Hecogeninand Sarasapogenin.
SECTION-I
1. Alkaloids: Introduction, Chemistry, Biogenesis and Pharmacological Activity of Atropine Quinine, Reserpine, Morphine, Papaverine, Ephedrine, Ergot and Vinca alkaloids.
Chemistry and Therapeutic Activity of Penicillin, Streptomycin and Tetracycline.
2. Carotenoids: Introduction, α-carotenoids, β-carotenes, vitamin A.
3. Introduction, Chemistry and Biogenesis of Medicinally Important Lignans and Flavonoids.
4. Chemistry and Therapeutic Activity of Penicillin, Streptomycin and Tetracycline.
